Monthly extended stay in Monroe for Hyperion workers
Monroe is the closest city with a full set of hotels, about 30 minutes west of the Holly Ridge gate. That makes it the default search for "extended stay Monroe LA monthly" — and it is also where contractors have been leasing rooms in bulk.
The $380-a-night signal
In August 2026, The Advocate reported that a Monroe Hampton Inn quoted $380 a night, compared with about $120 for a similar Hampton in Baton Rouge, and that many local hotels were fully leased by contractors. At that nightly quote, a 30-night stay would be far above a typical monthly RV pad. We logged Hampton Inn & Suites Monroe with that reported figure and the check date. It is not a current quote, and it is not a monthly package — call the hotel and ask.
Questions to ask a Monroe hotel
- Do you have a weekly or monthly rate, and does it include kitchen access?
- Are rooms blocked for a contractor, or can an individual book?
- Truck or trailer parking, pet fees, and laundry?
- What happens to the rate when a crew contract ends mid-month?
Other extended-stay options we verified
- Residence Inn Monroe has full kitchens, breakfast and laundry — ask for a weekly or monthly quote.
- WoodSpring Suites West Monroe I-20 advertises weekly and monthly rates with in-room kitchens, just off I-20 in West Monroe.
- If Monroe is leased up, Days Inn Tallulah is an I-20 overflow hotel about 35 minutes east of the gate. It is not a kitchenette suite; ask about weekly rates.
When an RV park or cabin wins
A documented Holly Ridge pad at $1,000 a month, utilities included, will beat most raw nightly hotel quotes if you already have a rig. Furnished cabins at Boggy Bayou sit much closer to the gate than Monroe. Use Monroe when your company is paying the hotel, you are sharing a group house, or you need city services more than a short commute.
