Police Jury minutes from April 6, 2026 gave preliminary approval (pending final documents) for Cook Creek Village, formerly Cook Road RV Park, with 62 modular units and a possible Phase 2. CMH's page describes living quarters (full-size bed, full bath, 50-inch TV, key-coded entry), a dining hall (hot breakfast, bag lunch, hot dinner), laundry, recreation, fiber internet and on-site security, and showed June 2026 construction progress. Treat this as contractor crew housing — CMH invites employers to talk about their crew — not a public hotel. Confirm current operating status.

Drive times are rough one-way estimates for normal traffic, not measured routes. Shift-change traffic around the Holly Ridge gate, weather, and which entrance you use can add a lot. Sheriff Neal Harwell told The Advocate the site sees 5,000–7,000 vehicles a day.
